» How a HVAC plant upgrade or retrofit can increase productivity and cut downtime
Thursday, 12 March 2015
An important aspect of a HVAC plant manager’s job
is minimising downtime and increasing productivity, but they face a problem if their
equipment is several years old. That’s because if a competitor’s equipment is
only a few months old while their own has been in situ for a number of years,
they face a significant disadvantage in terms of productivity and potential
downtime.
However, by upgrading existing equipment, plant managers can
bring it in line with newer machines without the need for a complete
replacement. That’s where Gibbons come in.
By using state-of-the-art energy calculators, our engineers
can demonstrate whether the current system is less efficient than an upgraded
one would be. If this is the case, a retrofit can be undertaken to modify
equipment and improve economy without the need for a complete replacement. Very
often, only certain components within, for example, an air handling unit (AHU)
are subject to wear and much of the structure can remain in excellent order
after years of service.

downtime with a HVAC
equipment upgrade, call Andrew Knight on 07850 204915 or email andrew.knight@gibbonsgroup.co.uk.
