Gibbons Engineering Group were requested by one of our customers to undertake the construction of 10 Air Handling Units on site at a college in Norfolk.

Our work began long before delivery of the AHU’s when our engineering team visited the site to complete a survey with the customer.

The logistics of the works were carefully planned and access routes measured and checked. Space was very restrictive and each section of the AHU needed to be transferred into the plant area through both window and door openings.

Gibbons reviewed drawings with our client to agree final locations of each individual AHU. A full Risk Assessment and Method Statement was prepared and submitted to our client in advance of the work being carried out.

Once the new AHU sections were delivered we carrefully transferred each section into the building using a combination of mechanical handling equipment, on-site goods hoist and plant moving equipment.

Modules were joined and sealed and the ancillary components installed. Each AHU was checked and signed off by our client on completion of the work. If you would like more details, or to discuss new opportunities please do not hesitate to contact us.
