Take a look at this special video report from the ABB
Authorised Value Provider programme launch event, where Gibbons was one of the
18 members represented. The scheme provides variable-speed drives customers
with a network of global expertise and support. Try to spot our very own Alan
Roberts!
Last month’s ABB Authorised Value Provider network event in
Kensington saw Gibbons’ Drives Manager Alan Roberts join representatives from
17 other AVP members to officially launch the scheme.
The AVP programme has created a global network of experience
and expertise for the variable-speed drives and electric motors markets.
Providers will deliver sales, technical advice and training along with
lifecycle services such as installation, start-up and preventive maintenance
programmes.
Below is a special video report on the importance of the AVP
network which includes invaluable pearls of wisdom from leading ABB personnel.
Here are some key points from the video:
- Steve Hughes, ABB’s UK Sales Manager for low-voltage variable-speed drives, illustrates the energy efficiency provided by VSDs. He likens running a pump at full speed and controlling the output with a valve to driving a car whilst pressing the accelerator and brake at the same time!
- Steve also points out that electric motors affect our lives in ways that most of us never consider and asks what the impact would be if just one of those motors failed.
- Neil Ritchie, UK Business Unit Manager for ABB, says that the AVP network gives customers access to the highest level of expertise available in the marketplace.
- Plus, look out for our very own Alan Roberts at 0.38!
