The Carbon Trust is launching a £7 million fund to help small business in England, Scotland and Wales fund energy-efficiency improvements.

The Green Business Fund is available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on a first-come, first-served basis and will cover as much as 15 per cent of an energy-efficiency project or the cost of upgrading equipment up to £10,000.

Up to 2,000 SMEs (businesses with fewer than 250 employees) will also benefit from training and advice on implementing energy-saving measures.

SMEs will be able to use the fund to buy energy-efficient equipment including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. As a long-time supplier, installer and service provider for HVAC equipment, Gibbons are well equipped to help SMEs make the most of their share of the fund.

By combining state-of-the-art HVAC equipment with energy-saving ABB variable-speed drives, Gibbons not only improve the efficiency of air-handling systems, we can also extend operational life while reducing maintenance costs.
