A new £1 billion fund
has been launched by Lloyds Bank to help owners of commercial real estate to
implement energy efficiency improvements in their buildings.
The scheme will see Lloyds Bank clients receive loans of £10
million and above to be spent on energy-saving measures, with an aim of cutting
carbon emissions by 110,000 tonnes. That is equivalent to the yearly energy
consumption of over 22,000 residential dwellings.
Commercial real estate refers to property used solely for
business purposes, for example restaurants, offices, retail units and hotels. Such
buildings are responsible for approximately one fifth of the UK’s overall annual
energy consumption, and therefore represent an opportunity for significant
savings.
Gibbons Engineering Group have been working with commercial
building owners and operators for many years, helping them to reduce their
energy costs by optimising the energy-efficiency of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning
(HVAC) systems. Our HVAC
Services division specialises in the installation, upgrade and repair of
the latest air handling equipment, while our position as an Authorized Value
Provider allows us to supply ABB HVAC drives
tailored to each application.
If you own or manage a commercial building and would like to
significantly improve its energy efficiency, get in touch with Gibbons for a
packaged solution. Call Andrew Knight on 07850 204915 or email andrew@gibbonsgroup.co.uk to
