Automation leader ABB has introduced a new choice of
mounting features for its variable-speed
drives range. These flexible mountings are compatible with multiple ABB
drives, including the new general-purpose ACS580, and aim to reduce the cost
and hassle of mounting and installation.
Users receive a separately mountable cable box complete with
fixings, meaning it can be mounted to the wall and the cables glanded prior to
installation of the drive. As a result, the cable box can remain in place while
the drive is removed for servicing, reducing the risk of cables being damaged
and enabling faster replacement of the unit.
ABB’s wall-mounted drives are available rated up to 250 kW,
while cabinet-mounted drives can be ordered at up to 560 kW.
