Electric motor rewinding has become something of a dying art in recent years as the number of companies providing the service diminishes. This is occurring as many people increasingly choose to scrap and replace failed motors rather than have them repaired. For some smaller motors this may be the most economical choice, but in many cases it’s much more cost effective to opt for a rewind.

If you have an electric motor that’s failed and would like to find out whether it’s cheaper to rewind it or replace it, let Gibbons take a look. Our motor rewinds and repairs division was established 46 years ago and our experienced engineers will give you an honest appraisal on the best course of action. If it’ll be cheaper for you to scrap it, we’ll say so and offer you our most competitive price on a replacement. But if we think you’ll be better off having the motor rewound, we’ll get it back up and running in no time.

We offer free collection and delivery within a 50-mile radius of our workshop in Tollesbury, Essex and provide a 24-hour emergency call-out service, so you’ll never be stuck.
