As Britain’s economic outlook continues to brighten, the UK job market is improving in tandem. The latest figures show that unemployment has fallen to its lowest level for five years, with the jobless rate dropping to 6.6% in the three months to April.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reports that employment rose by 345,000 between January and April, the highest since records began in 1971. The number of Britons in work now stands at 30.54 million, an increase of 780,000 over the last year.
