Gibbons Engineering Group were requested by one of our customers to undertake leakage testing on 6 Air Handling Units located at the new wing of one of London’s largest hospitals.
The AHU’s were selected at random from over 60 new AHU’s on site.
The tests were to be undertaken in accordance with our customer’s specification and required the AHU’s to be tested under a negative 400Pa pressure.
The required leakage factor for each AHU was assigned and the test equipment set up on site and the AHU ends were sealed.
The test was undertaken and over the course of several days on site each of the 6 AHU’s were passed and witnessed by the main contractor on site.
Supporting documentation was completed by our engineers and submitted to the customer for their records.

Gibbons are also pleased to undertake positive pressure leak testing where required. We work to individual manufacturer’s requirements or to BS EN1886:2007.
Gibbons supply calibrated digital leakage testers to complete the works and each tests comes complete with a full written leakage test report.
