Our very own Marketing Assistant Charli May took part in the
annual Colchester 5K Race for Life on Sunday 19th July, raising
vital funds for Cancer Research in the process. However, Charli had to overcome
adversity to reach the finish line after falling and injuring her shoulder and
leg just five days before the race!
Charli would have been forgiven for withdrawing from the Castle
Park event, but determined to complete the race for a cause close to her heart,
she joined around 2,000 other participants and finished the course in 48
minutes and 20 seconds.
Congratulations to Charli, who along with around 2,000 other
pink-clad participants raised £130,000 for Cancer Research.
Charli and her friend Maxine (pictured) have raised £240 so
far, and their
JustGiving page is still open for donations if you’d like to contribute to
this great cause.
