Gibbons has developed a great reputation over the years for providing excellent life-cycle services for industrial machinery and we’ve been at it again!
Five years ago we installed some new HVAC inverter drives for a large central London bank, another successful job which left the customer fully satisfied. In the meantime we’ve been providing on-site support for the equipment, but recently the client contacted us to report that one of the inverters was showing a fault on the drive display, which turned out to be a minor component failure.
HVAC Services manager Andrew Knight leapt into action and ensured that first thing the next morning a Gibbons engineer was on site along with a new ABB ACH550 drive from our stock, ready to be installed. Within 24 hours of the fault being reported, the new inverter was in place and fully operational, leaving the client and his building occupants delighted.
Gibbons provide lifetime services for HVAC systems across a wide range of sectors, and this project was no different, as we delivered the initial installation five years ago, followed by provision of site services during the inverter’s operation, and finally the recent prompt resolution when the component failed.
